Santorum's anti-gay platform made me sick!

I have long been supportive of gays. But the way they have acted over the gay marriage issue disgusts me. Civil union with exactly equal rights isn't good enough for them. They have to use the word marriage and for no other reason to get in the face of traditional society.

They have pissed me off with that. I now have contempt and disdain for gays in general. They get no more support from me, fuck 'em.

Shouldn't everyone be granted the same rights as everyone else? Be it color of the skin or sexual preference? Just as long as no one causes anyone physical pain? Or stealing rape etc.

Stop government overreach, keep the government small and unobtrusive, freedom for all.....that is unless I don't agree with their lifestyle, skin color or religious beliefs.

Sure, everyone should have the same rights. A gay couple should have the same rights as a married couple. But they should NOT have the right to redefine a word and an institution that has been a backbone of civilization for 10,000 years.

how about this then. since the term "marriage" is of such little significance that it should be unimportant, how about you and your wife/donkey/altar boy take the term "civil union", and gays get marriage. that's equal, right?
