pretty ballsy move for a pres who's up for reelection. i think he's banking on romney being so fucking unpalatable that the issue is less of a dealbreaker to the public. and i'm sure the biden comment didn't hurt.

public opinion has evolved to the point where the anti-gay people are being viewed in an increasingly negative way. obama doesn't exactly thrill me but i approve of his stance and the balls it took to make it public with an election coming up. very nice.

a day after north carolina, a key battleground state in the upcoming election, decides to double outlaw gay marriage (it was already banned, they banned it again) by 60-40, obama comes out and disagrees.

that is pretty ballsy, would never have expected it myself. might not have even done it myself if i wanted to be re-elected.
