Daniel Chong, a 24-year old student at UC San Diego, was taken into custody during a drug raid and abandoned in a holding cell for five days without food or water, according to NBC San Diego.
“They never came back, ignored all my cries and I still don’t know what happened,” he said. “I’m not sure how they could forget me.”
On April 21, Drug Enforcement Agents raided an apartment where Chong and his friends were smoking marijuana. Nine people were arrested and the agents reportedly seized ecstasy pills, marijuana, prescription medication, psychedelic mushrooms and weapons, according to CBS 8 News. Seven of those arrested were taken to jail and one was released.
Chong, however, was left handcuffed in a 5 ft. by 10 ft. holding cell.
Chong said he screamed and kicked the door, but to no avail. Eventually, he began hallucinating and drank his own urine in hopes of staying hydrated. After days without any human contact, he tried to kill himself by breaking his glasses with his teeth, and using the glass to cut himself.
Surprisingly, Chong allegedly found a bag of methamphetamine in the holding cell, which he used to stay awake.
After five days, a DEA worker heard noises coming from the holding cell and discovered him. Chong was taken to the hospital, where he spent three days in the intensive care unit.
The DEA has not apologized to Chong. He has not been charged with any crime.

He's apparently suing the DEA for $20 mill now.

I wish I got left in a cell to drink piss and do meth for 5 days if I get $20 mill afterwards...

I truly hope this will awaken the dead citizens of this country that move around this planet like lifeless zombies to the fact that the people have not been in control of this country for a long, long time.

The drinking piss would cost them 20 million, the meth I'd do for free.

DEA should be getting hit hard. Violated due process as well as cruel unusual punishment. They didn't just break the law, the broke the supreme law of the land!

I doubt a single agent gets anything more than a pat on the back for getting a "Bad guy".

We all know that the Feds can pretty much do whatever they want and never have to be culpable for any of it. All they have to say is "we forgot he was in there" and it will all just get swept under the rug.

FBI "Hostage Rescue Team" member Lon Horiuchi got a commendation, and the glowing thanks and praises of his FBI director Louis Freeh (Freeh, Louis J. with Howard Means. My FBI. New York: St. Martin's Press, 2005. ISBN 0-312-32189-9) for his "exemplary service" when he busted a CNS (central nervous system shot) on the brain stem of an unarmed woman holding a baby. In his defense he thought the baby's diaper might have been loaded.

If the kid had died in the cell, the arresting agent woulda probably gotten the Medal of Honor

Ah, Ruby Ridge. Don't agitate people with guns. FBI's Donnie Brosco got a check for $500. And most of his close Mob assicates were killed by the Mob becasue he was the rat.
