So in the event of Israel and a Muslim country like Iran striking each other with bombs and missiles, do you think that Iran, North Korea, China, or Russia will detonate an EMP over the United States? Or a HEMP rather. I've been aware of the threat of an emp for a couple years but lately I've had a feeling that we are going to experience the next worse thing to setting of a nuke inside of our atmosphere.

I guess it's pretty easy, just fire a missile up about 50 miles and set it off. Bam, no electricity, no refrigerators, no water pumps pumping tap water out of your faucet or out of the ground, no vehicles after 1980s running (unless you had a spare computer and ignition in an emp proof ammo box), no dialysis or life support, no communication (other than tube style radios), no law with the exception of martial law, no trailer trucks bringing food to walmart, no computer, no electronics whatsoever. Back to the basics of grinding wheat into flour and baking it into bread. Thousands of pounds of food will rot in the mid west while people starve on the south east coast because there will be no trains or planes to move it. Oh and every plane will fall out of the sky at the same time..

It could happen any day now. Iran has Uranium. Most likely Israel will hit Iran with a HEMP and start the battle
Are you EMP hardened? Are you prepared to never have electricity again?

Haha I'm hoping that's sarcasm. It's soo probable its frightening. No one in their right mind would set of a nuke in the earths atmosphere because of radiation.. But if you do it out side of the earths atmosphere you eliminate the nuclear fallout and still devastate your enemy. Imo it's going to happen sooner than later. We are so venerable. Hundreds of thousands will die in the first week. Millions will die in the first two months..

Why do you think the U.S. gov is so concerned about nukes? They are worried about HEMPs. The gov did a study or something in 2008 about EMPs and ever scince then have been policing the world

That is one reason it won't happen, the other is it would be a really bad move for any country that did it, it would not advance them to do so and would have quite the opposite effect for them- The only possability of this happening is if our military did it as a way to increase and consolidate power while reducing the population.

Couldn't it be a possibility that "radical Muslims" would want to pull this off with the hope of the 12th Imam or Mahdi returning? And if a HEMP isn't sufficient, what would be? Global collapse due to the Euro and U.S. dollar hyperinflation?
