lol, the right really isn't going to give up about that Krugman post are they? Seriously, who thinks we should be in Iraq? Anyone?

Also, the article's author is obviously a war monger:

A "moral call" to fight the evil? What is this, the crusades? Imperialism is not national defense, this is one of the few issues I believe Ron Paul has 100% correct - but it seems the rest of the GOP still thinks invading people's countries somehow wont piss them off. You know, if we didn't have so many bases in so many countries I bet we wouldn't have so many countries pissed off at us... What do you think?
I think you don't have a clue. There's no point in arguing with you, because you already know how much morally superior you are than the rest of us.

Saddam didn't cause 9/11(that was Osama) and didn't have any nukes; Sure, he was a terrible man - but how was that our problem again? Oh yeah, Bush Jr. wanted to make his daddy proud...

Lol, I almost missed this one... Islam is one of the most popular religions on the planet - nearly 1 in 4 people on the entire planet are muslim... Are they all evil? Do they deserve to be compared to nazis or communists?
90% of Muslim are what are called "social" Muslims, meaning they put on the pretense of being devout Muslim in order to avoid having their heads removed.

I think this is the smartest thing krugman has ever said actually, and its appalling that so called conservatives disagree with this. This is definitely an issue that separates libertarians from conservatives or Regan republicans from neocons.

They talked about this on FOX yesterday:

Good Argument bro? His argument is that the attacks where "legitimate" , what does that even mean? How is that an argument?

Krugman is a no good yuppie hack and a scumbag, I can agree on that, but again this is the smartest thing he has EVER said. I agree he SHOULD be fired...but not for this....for wasting everyones effing time with is stupid irrelevant speculation and trend analysis coupled with left wing rhetoric pandering to wannabe socialites probably bought and paid for by the establishment. Don't you effing lie mame, tell us the truth, Are you guilt of posting here while drinking an espresso and tweeting on your macbook or ipad?!!??

THIS IS NOT WHAT CONSERVATISM IS ABOUT! I THOUGHT CONSERVATIVES ARE PRO-LIFE NOT PRO DEATH!?!? THIS IS FASICST OR NATIONALIST - HITLERISK - (THREAD IS NOW GODWIN'D)

Post some cartoons mocking Islam and mohammed like you did when you posted cartoons mocking Christianity. Until you do, then I stand by my point.

FAIL.

Never Forget it!
Nyan+Eleven+I+ve+been+told+this+is+the+funniest+thing_a6722f_2240002.jpg

Americans across the country solemnly and fittingly commemorated the worst attack on our country in any of our lifetimes. We held moments of silence; we once again stared in horror at the pictures of the Twin Towers coming down; we remembered the sacrifices of those we lost on that terrible day, and the sacrifices of those who have laid down their lives to prevent another day like that from occurring again.
The US Civil War had a head count of about 500k Americans?

I dont own an Ipad... I do own an iPhone, but it's the 3GS and I've had it for two year. Also, I own a PC at home.

And you're right, this topic does divide the neo-cons and libertarians but I wasn't aware there were any neo-cons on this site until Jack Fate started trying to say that fighting "moral" wars - whether justified to the people or not - are okay...

edit: Also, why do you attack Krugman's character so much? That's what Fox News does, I thought you were better than them... Attack the evidence, the argument please.

Is the war in Libya a "moral" war?

I'm not really a supporter of the Libya conflict either, so you're barking up the wrong tree. I mean, I understand the angle that they're taking(limited assistance, no boots on the ground) but my view is that it's American intervention and encroachment on other nations sovereignty that is the root of our nations threats. I'm all for helping allies when they ask for help, assuming it's in our interests of course but I'm tired of America feeling as if we need to police the world.

The angle I'm taking is Obama doing something he promised he would never do and his hyppocrisy.

He never promised he wouldn't go to war while he was running for office. He spoke out against the Iraq war, while supporting the Afghan war and said he wouldn't hesitate to protect the interests and safety of the American people if it was justified.

Also, our war is not with islam... I dont get why that's so hard for you to understand. We have freedom of religion in this country, I think as a nation it's important to respect that freedom.

Obama promised he would never attack a nation that was no direct threat. Libya was no direct threat. I don't understand why it's so hard for you to understand. Obama lied.

No, he promised he would never attack a nation that was no direct threat without congressional approval. So you're right that he flopped but not that he promised not to attack other nations, just that he promised to seek congressional approval for any attack that wasn't a "direct threat"...
Obama said:
The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.
If Obama contends that intervention in Libya is in our national interest, sure, maybe we can do some good in Libya; but he should have seeked out congressional approval for said intervention... I have no problem with protecting the national interest, helping our allies, etc but it has to be justified and I'd much rather it be an international affair and not just America... Like I said, I feel like America "policing the world" has actually hurt us as a nation rather than helped.

the problem with discussions/arguments like this is that most of the conributors have allready made up their minds and arnt interested in being persuaded one way or the other that they might infact be misguided, informed or whatever. people should be allowed to express their grief about anything provided it dosn't offend other right thinking persons. you cant accomodate nutcases because they can be offended by anything, anytime. all i can say is thank fuck everyone is different or every bleeding day would be this day or that day or the other bloody day, just imagine, "Bloody sunday, monday, tuesday, thurday, friday, saturday, and black monday, tuesday FFS, what a miserable fucking world, you might as well become a monk.
