and that stupid law suit. lots of money was won. then everybody jumped on the band wagon. then the private property signs went up. no longer could we play in the field across town. the tree fort in the park was torn down. city didn't want a law suit. people got ugly. felt they were owed millions for every little "accident". i think it changed the way things are today.

lawsuits everywhere. made people cautious and greedy.

in a previous life, I was an area supervisor for a mcdonalds franchisee. we warned the powers at mcdonalds for years that the coffee was to hot and it was going to hurt someone. I wonder how many people were burned before someone had balls enough to sue. the worst part for us was a 16 year old female employee grabs that filter urn to dump the old grounds out and seriously burns her arm. it did not need to be that hot, you had to wait 15 minutes to drink it....

but you knew that. just like you knew the grill was hot.

why can't people be responsible for their own common sense?

I read in Consumer Report that McDonalds had great coffee ... beating out the bigguns like Starbucks and Coffee Bean, who in my opinion has really shitty coffee because they burn the beans. Well, as a lover of great coffee, I decided to try the coffee at McDonalds ... and I have to say ... not great, but very good. McDonald's coffee KILLS Starbucks. This coming from a guy who buys only organic, green coffee beans from small family farms, then roasts them himself.

When it comes to coffee, when served ... its best when its just off the boil. The flavor nuances change (not a bad thing) as the coffee cools.

If I was served a "cool" cup of coffee at McDonalds I'd be pissed. Might even sue the bastards! ~lol~

in my life I have run into smart people, dumb people and in between. but the folks with common sense are few and far between....

i have a lawsuit against me right now because i kicked out a room mate a couple years ago because he wasnt paying rent and now hes suing me for the deposit on the house that my girl and I paid.

yeah, let's talk about her for a moment. i realize it's TV and all but there are judges out there like her. from what i see she has already made a decision about the case before the 2 sides even walk into the room. i feel she lets her personal feelings decide about 95% of her cases. she doesn't look at evidence and constantly accuses people of lying. she's always saying "that wouldn't happen" or "a person wouldn't do that". she's almost always wrong because what she is denying i have seen first hand. she doesn't even know what a playstation is. how can you judge the world when you don't even know what's happening in it?
