I have always liked Woody....especially his outspoken defense of cannabis common sense.

I did not know that he possessed Luddite tendencies.
IMO, counterproductive to reform because irrational and inaccurate attitude toward the profit motive.
Without a profit motive there would be no Woody, and no computers with which to view this video.
Our current standard of living, and the very ability to grow premium Buds indoors, any time of year, comes to us largely due to this dread profit motive.

IMO

there is nothing wrong with a profit motive. every individual wants to better him/herself and lets be truthful, money control the free market. we have passed the point where the barter and trade system would not work anymore due to a new hummer that you want or that million dollar home. the problem arises when people will do anything to acquire the all might dollar including murder, theft/espionage, and trampling people to get your desires met.

Been broke, Never had a lot of money! The scenario Woody talks about is about 300 years behind. The deteriation of the landscape started in the 1500s and gradually got worse untll the 1800s when it really took a turn for the worse with the advent of the steam locomotive, It's been on a downhill race ever since, although woody presented a nice sililoquy, the conviences we now enjoy would be hard to give up!
