But, seriously, what amazes me about the New Orleans event was the complete and total FUBAR that occurred. FUBAR is a military term, if you wish to look it up. Never in my life have I seen a worse scenario of events. I have to agree completely with medicineman. Something I have never done before. This disaster must have been planned or else every swinging dick in the bayou was high smoken crawdads and sucking on boiled peanuts.

And in Washington, did they close the Pentagon? The USS Hope (or her sister ship) were in dock at Philadelphia. At least a couple quick aid ships were in Norfolk. Air medical aid and MASH troops were in San Antonio. All of these resources should have been redeployed into the theater. Yet nothing was done. Why?

The situation was the worst of the worst. But, that was NOT why I posted. The reason for the post was to refute and discredit the whore-monger Naomi and her half-truths. I despise liars and demagogs. That is why I can't stand GrowRebel. He is a poorly educated and insincere demagog.

Yes all government is a FUBAR. But what happened in New Orleans is beyond the pale, even for dysfunctional government. So I accept medicinemans alligation of planning to fail, as class warfare, as possible.

What mechanism for deployment? A very good question. Either assign it to training, suspend posse comtatidis? I don't really know how it could have been done legally. However, resources set idle, that would have lessened the extreme hardship. The administration could have crafted some solution.

Nagin? Ain't he a piece of work? Or shit? Did Naomi overlook the black, democratic mayor, and focus on the many failures of white republicans? She is pandering racism. Nagin had several hundred school buses he refused to use in an evacuation effort. His excuse was he did not want them damaged. So most were destroyed in the hurricane. Those buses died where they sat. People died because of the terrible flood waters.
