| | I watched a debate in the 60's staged by the Upper class students. The Proposition they debated was: Resolved: That war is that institution whcih has benefitted mankind more than any other institution. On of their arguments was that it create's full employment. What the negative side failed to address was the debt that was incurred in order to have that full employment. The rich got richer, and the poor have the debt.
The savings and loan collapse, and the current problems with the sub-prime markets are examples of what is wrong. Everyone wants to know what the "Federal Government" is going to do to bail out the poor home owner. I say, let the sob that loaned the money in the first place take the hit. Either they work out something 'reasonable or 'they' lose their money. Why should you and I 'pay' for the stupidity of the lendor. We let 'them' mainly the 'news media' convince us, that falling home prices are bad for the economy, we won't be able to go as far in debt if they do, we won't be able to get our 'refy' like that is good fiscal policy. Well bullshit, let the housing market collapse.
" Bad news from Wall Street as the price of stocks fell...." Bulshit, if the price drops enough maybe I could afford some, sorry about your loss. It all fits together for me anyway. VV |

| | Great post Blaze, the more I hear this guy, the more I like him. Don't worry VV, the Government has no intentions of bailing out the homeowners that got fucked with the sub-Prime scam, It may bail out the lenders though. Pretty much I heard Bush say it wasa the home owners fault for entering into these loan agreements and the government would do nothing to help them, if they lost their homes, oh well. Now is that really a compassionate conservative?~LOL~.

| | The loan companies that made fraudulent loans should be held liable for fraud and thier executives and loan officers procecuted and placed in jail. The borrowers who lied on their applications, providing the lenders were federally charted, should be placed into handcuffs by the FBI and prosecuted for defrauding a federally charted savings and loan. Any Realtor or real estate agent who abetted the fraudulent borrowers or lenders should be prosecuted as well. Let the chips fall where they may ... let the lenders eat the foreclosed properties, let the homeowners suffer the consequences, just like they would have if they lost on the crap tables in Vegas and keep the federal government out of the equation. | | That's all well and great, but did anybody watch these links? It explains how the corrupt Federal Reserve works and how every person in history that tried to fix our corrupt money system was assasinated. Ron Paul would be next if he won presidency. It also shows how every war in our history, including the current one, was manufactured for money.

Vi | it's the loan companies shitty tatics that are at the culprits of a scam. but its the homeowners fault for getting scammed, for not reading thoroughly. the federal government must be involved because it is their money being loaned. but predatory loan practices must be dealt a lot harsher penalties then the homeowners. they are gonna have fucked up credit for 10 years. in this day and age, that is enough penalty. |
