is everybody in this country so happy with "our way of life" that theyre will to defend it at all costs? i think the biggest responsibility of any american is to keep this country from degenerating into mindless, greedy gluttons. self-preservation is obviously important, but spending billions of dollars to fund a whole bunch of kids playing hide-n-seek in the desert is a horrible waste of money. we're not gonna be able to kill all of the people that want to do us harm, thats a fact.

say we stop spending so much money on the military and spend it on public services like better schooling, healthcare, n shit. say we switch up funding enough that after a few years were no longer the #1 bad ass military super power that we take for granted, but we actually have intelligent teachers in our schools and we wont have mentally unwell people freezing to death in dumpsters. thatd be pretty tight, and if a few our buildings get taken down, so be it.
