Its still possible for a person to make his own decisions, Med. For example, I ... Me ... Myself ... select where I shop and what I eat. I'm down to almost a total organic diet now ... and very little meat. That means that I don't shop at the giant, corporate markets that sell shit for food. I read every food label before I buy and through research, I know what's good and what's bad. I select what I drink and that is organic coffee and water. I buy my coffee beans "green" through the Internet. They are grown on small family farms that pay their workers a fair wage. I roast my coffee beans in a small roaster ... and you've never had such good coffee ... its to die for.

I hit the gym hard five days a week in an effort to keep the medical profession away. I take personal responsibility for my health both from a nutrituional and physical stand point.

My next car will be a Toyota Prius, (large corporation, I know) and if I can find it, it will have a bumper sticker that says: "Fuck OPEC and Big Oil." That car will either have the wheels driven off of it, or traded in as soon as the hydrogen fuel cell cars are on the market.

I don't work for a corporation either ... I'm an independent contractor. I work for myself ... and the federal government doesn't get my taxes until I decide to give it to them.

My children, and their children as well, attended private Catholic schools from K-12. I have a grandson who will be entering a private Catholic college with a 4.5 grade average and is getting a very healthy scholarship as a result.

I don't go to propaganda movies ... In fact, I've boycotted almost all Hollywood products. I like the classic films and art films ... and "art" to Hollywood is violence, pornography, anti-God, left-wing propaganda and mostly drivel. I much prefer to read good books and listen to good music.

I don't use alcohol except for a very occasional beer. And I mean one or two. And the beer I drink isn't made in this country ... its made in Bavaria.

I don't buy shit weed either. I've been growing my own for many years now. You've sampled some of my wares. Be honest ... good shit, no? ~lol~

So as you can see, its possible to not become a "docile sheep" if one puts his/her mind to it. I DO agree with you though about the average American. They've let liberty slip away. Like sand, if one doesn't keep a good grip on it, it will slip between one's fingers and blow away with the wind. And, getting these ideas across has been my main thrust here in the forum. The problem is, the few who post here who attack any ideas different from theirs just either don't read my posts all the way through, or they are just stone-blind to the truth.

Well, I'm so glad to see you are a health nut. Maybe that will stave off the bad genes you have accumulated for the last 200,000 years. I believe that when it is your time to go, bye-bye. I eat what I want, when I want and if I have a massive heart attack, well then it was my time to go. I try and watch my Diabetes, but other than that, I enjoy a good filet, a big juicy hamburger, some french fries and a shake, hell yeah, I'm not going to try and extend my life at the expense of curtailing everything I like. People die, every day, why should I be any different. I have made my peace with the world and my maker. I'll put my money down and let-er-ride. Well, hell yeah! First, the corporations decide who works for them and who doesn't, correct, that affects us. Also they set the wages, affects us! They decide how much to charge for their products, affects us! They decide where to locate their businesses, affects us! They decide whether to pay for our healthcare or not, affects us! They decide whether to have a retirement plan or not, affects us! They bribe the government to allow them special priveledge, Affects us! They pollute our atmosphere and our land and water supplies, affects us. They decide if illegals can come and take our jobs, affects us. They bring in h2b workers under false assumptions of non-US workers and reduce the level of wages countrywide, affects us. Geeze, I'm getting tired of typing, but there is much more, the psychological havoc they wreak on employees is never considered. Now I know you'll just say, "well you can always quit" and if that were true, there would be no workers at any corporations. An income is required to survive so you have to put up with their shit or do something else to survive, like start your own business, (an 87% failure rate) sell drugs, (Dangerous and possible forfiture of your freedom) or become either a homeless or a criminal. So yes my dear frouind, corporations do affect our lives on a momentous level, sig-heil!~
