Supreme court on Chicago gun ban

No way they can say Heller only applies to DC. They would have made that clear in the Heller ruling if they had thought it might become an issue. Heller applies everywhere.

The truth is "they" can say whatever they want. The Heller decision was won by a narrow margin. In a few years with a couple of SCOTUS changes of personnel they can wordsmith any outcome.

What SHOULD happen and what DOES happen aren't always the same. Doesn't the Constitution guarantee the right to ALL citizens to bear arms? What about felons that have served their sentence, especially non violent offenders (weed growers) don't they deserve protection of their rights to bear arms? How can a right be taken away by the very institution that is supposed to protect it?
