Perhaps you would like to respond to my post from above regarding Beck and his Mao accusations from just the other day.[/QUOTE]
Actually, I thought your post was really a good rebuttal. I'll respond with two words ... Van Jones.

You mean the fact that he decided (idiotically admittedly) that he thought communism is a good thing, when he was a young black college kid during the racial turmoil that was happening during the early 90's?
Seriously that is when he said that (because I had to dig to find it earlier when this was all going on), in 92 or 93 when he was 22. Think of how many stupid ideas you had when you were that age.
To most people that have very little communism sounds like a good thing, until you actually do 5 minutes of research on your own that is. But that is not what we teach our youth.
Instead we have traditionally forced them into believing everything that adults tell them, and that they see on the news. And that continues, one thing I do applaud all the newly named "Libertarians" is that they are adamant about telling kids to take what they learn with a grain of salt and to question everything that their professors tell them.
Now to only get them to do the same with their news sources like Glenn Beck, conservative radio/internet, and books.

Do you have the citation where he more recently recanted that?

My understanding is that Van Jones became a communist while serving a prison sentence.
