when saddam took over Iraq he changed to constitution and nationalized the oil industry. when we wrote Iraqs new constitution for them, we changed that.

Hell no it wasn't worth it. Despite the propaganda circus touting WMD etc prior to the war this has been about Bush vindicating his daddy since day 1 of juniors presidency. Saddam kept that shit hole country under control, a task we have been an abject failure at. We do not have a policy or strategy for invading countries with WMD, if we did Iraq would not have been the logical 1st choice. This was personal for Bush, period. You people lauding praise on Bush for keeping us safe need a reality check. This war cost us big time in terms of $$$ spent abroad and economic destabilization at home, international credibility, and a seriously jeapordized state of military readiness. Iran has been making nukes in the wide fucking open for the past 5 years while we toil in a neighboring country...taking out Iran would have been worthwhile but Iraq...an emphatic FUCK NO!
