They don't care at all about public opinion, only about maintaining power. Team Obama has made a calculation and placed their bets - they think that if they can ram through a healthcare bill, it won't matter how unpopular it is because "public opinion" is so easily distracted that by the 2010 elections it will be forgotten.

What you are all ignoring is this is NOTHING NEW!

Polls aside (convenient)..... Health care such as this has been introduced to the public over and over again since the turn of the century practically. Each and every time, the people reject it. Once the actual costs are known, everyone knows darn well they are better off in the private sector with its checks and balances, rather than public which has none of those. Only increased cost and reduced service can be guaranteed.

It's been tried, and the ppl have spoken each time. the answer is NO!
