In General I agree with you. My opposition rest more in the fact that a majority of our health problems in this country are caused by fat fucks who choose not to take care of themselves. High health care costs are a symptom, the root of the problem is the fat woman who grabs 3 low sugar pepsi bottles instead of 1 full flavor and justify it because "it's healthier than the regular pepsi" I worked at a grocery store when I was younger and was disgusted by the type of foods obese people would purchase.

You know the best part about "Free" healthcare is? People will get fatter and more unhealthy because hey Uncle sam has an infinite checkbook to make sure that they get all the fat ass care they need to keep their fat asses fat and unhealthy but alive and sucking up resources that someone else made. That's up to you ...if you like being a fat ass then you will probably always be a fat ass, but if you see others around you getting in shape,eating right, working out, getting regular doctor visits maybe that shit would rub off ..if not then maybe you will die quickly..hey maybe thats when we can start the death panels...lol...j/k .... On the real we as a nation need to start taking better care of ourselves and our kids.....I work out and do other things just about everyday....I try to eat right, but every now and then I do go fast food crazy, but not to often

Given that incoming CEO of AARP, A Barry Rand, gave $8,900 to Obama's campaing in 2007- 2008, gave $4,500 to a leadership PAC maintained by House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) between 2004-2008, it comes as no surprise that this staunch Democrat would support this horrendous "Health Reform." I am not exactly shocked, shocked that this could happen.
As far as the fat bashing, you guys don't hae a fucking clue! You dolts sit there so self righteous that you have this perfect healthy body that you are somehow responsible for. Bullshit! You have no control over your liver, pancreas, spleen or any number of other organs that control many aspects of your appearance. You can't blame every case on cheeseburgers. My wife gained over 100 pounds over the course of three pregnancies and four kids. WHEN she ate, she ate less than half what I ate. She was a waitress on her feet for 6 hours a day and then taking care of 5 children and me. Bottom line, her metabolism worked overtime. She has, through a tremendous amount of effort lost that weight, but it was not easy.

I guess this has not a lot to do with AARP except that it was brought up in this thread and I responded here. Don't just sit there and put out these inane comments without being aware of how they are perceived. Not that I give a shit. I quit caring about what most folks think of me a long time ago.
Just the opinion from one aging hippie that should have fixed this problem a long time ago...
