Is there really that much difference? Maybe we should concentrate on our similarities.
First, we are both humanoid, upright standing hominans.
We speak a comon language, mostly, with a few exceptions.
We have access to the same media, news gathering info.
Our differences are basically internal interpretations of what we encounter and how we interact with others.
A disaster will bring people together, regardless of political affiliation.
A common enemy will unite us.
What is it about political Ideas that tend to drive us apart?
Basically, It is economics. Most people that are poor or lower class tend to be liberal. Those on the upper side of 50K per year, tend to be conservative. These are gross suppositions, but I would bet pretty factual when studied and proclaimed.
The real chasm between left and right (With the exception of the super rich liberals), is money.
Those that have it, Right, and those that don't, left.
The right is always cranky about the left wanting some of their (Hard earned) money.
The left is always trying to get some of the rights' money.
so the chasm is about economics.
We can close the chasm. Try and make suggestions how.
1.Kill the rich and steal all their money
2. The rich voluntarily commit to eliminating poverty by opening factories and providing well paying jobs to all that are willing to work.
3. kill all the poor people by starting wars in foriegn lands so the rich can get richer, wait, that is already being used.
There must be a better way, How about real socialism?

Well I am a far right Conservative and I agree that we need to come together. Sadly many of my fellow conservatives are cheering for the demise of our great country just so they can selfishly act like children and say "i told you so" to the Liberals if President Obama fails. In fact, many Conservatives do secretly pray for another terror attack under President Obama's watch so he will appear incompetent. Sad but true. Sometimes I'm ashamed to be a Conservative.

Government itself can be broken down into three basic types.
1. The rich try to live at the expence of the poor.
2. The Poor try to live at the expence of the rich.
3. No-one tries to live at the expence of anyone.

You seem to think economics or money is a bad thing.
Its not, it represents time taken out of your life
spent on productive persuits.
Some people have more then others.
Those with money generaly invest it.
Thus providing more money to create more productive persuits.
Creating Jobs and wealth for others.

Taking money out of the economy in the form of taxes
harms the ability of the poor to amass wealth for themselves.
Thus creating a degenerating spiral of failure and dispair.
For all your altruism the best thing for the poor is jobs.
It is well known that jobs are created when government stays out of the way.

BTW Liberals/Progressives are not at all peaceful
they came up with spreading democracy through force and violence.
They Police the world as bad as the "Conservatives."

No, you're incorrect. Many Conservatives have hoped and prayed for President Obama and America to fail. This has been in the news and I have also witnessed it myself in person. Now I am a far right Conservative and have been consistently voting Republican for over 30 years and I voted for McCain in the last election however I will stand behind President Obama as he is a good patriot who loves God and his Country. There's nothing wrong with capitalism, except for the fact that people without values can still get filthy rich.

I think that there needs to be a salary cap for all people. People can get wealthy, but not so rich that the very rich individuals net worth can feed a million people for a whole year.
