Owens, the Democrat, had 49 percent of the vote to 46 percent for Hoffman, who ran on the Conservative Party ticket. Scozzafava, even though she dropped out of the race, and then backed the democrat, had 6 percent. Get that folks? Six percent still voted for the leftist Republican even though she wasn't running. Dumb, no? Had they voted for the conservative, Hoffman would have won instead of Owens. And by the way ... Hoffman entered the race really late and didn't have the time to campaign like the others did. In other words, the results are no mandate for the Democrats.

One of the major reasons, if not THE major reason Hoffman did so well was that he got Sarah Palin's endorsement. Those of you who are discounting the importance of Sarah Palin to the conservative movement, and what that movement means for the future of politics in this country, are making a big mistake.

Man, I can hardly wait for November of 2010.
