I am a man of several vices, but a stringent avoider of others. I drink, I smoke cigarettes, I eat too much. I have spent my oat sowing days amongst other drug circles, and through time settled into my drug of choice as a proud and noble Pot Head.
I have a question though. In all the crazy drug circles I've stumbled into over my irreputable years, be they heroin sheik hipsters or hardcore hillbilly drunks, I have never seen a group of people prouder of their habit than marijuana users. I mean, flags and t-shirts and movies and all sorts of revalry around our blessed bud. How many of you out there, when you get a big stash of sweet nugs, just spend the evening playing with your pot, gazing at the beautiful, dripping trichomes. I mean, you weekend warriors aside, we really LOVE pot. We defend it more ravenously than any other sub-culture I have come across, unless you're talking religion. We boast it in the face of authority and challenge the prohibition with deep intensity. (keep in mind, I live in Los Angeles, and the folks out here do get riled up)

Why is that? Why do we so proudly wave our ganja flag at the world, but our drinking problem, we'd rather not mention. People go to rehab for cocaine and junkies hide in the shadows, but we smokers slap bumperstickers on all our shit, and wear shirts that say "Megalize Larijuana", and think it's FUNNY that we can't remember what we were talking about thirty seconds ago.

Don't get me wrong, I am just as proud as any other stoner of who I am. I just wonder why people outside our hazy circle look down on us so much, while we in our culture are so convinced that we are right. A narcotics user might tell you to go fuck yourself, but they would admit honestly that their habit is not something to be proud of.
Tell that to a Pothead. We'll paint ourselves green and make Bob Marley a religious Icon. Yes, people get burned out, but they can walk away and usually remember their smoking days fondly. It's usually not that way for people using other drugs. Is it that Pot is really that great, or does it just fit some of us so well that we can't help but get excited about it?

youll hide an addiction but herb using is totally different. youll enjoy it with lots and lots of people and laugh while doing coke is som,ething dark your trying to hide... im for the naturals only mushies and CANNABIS
