They see globalization fracturing the traditional linkages of skills, education and wages. They see the longstanding social contract with business and government unraveling in the form of stagnant wages, unaffordable health care, soaring energy costs, the cost of education spiraling out of reach and with it the promise of upward mobility, and the gradual demise of pension, retirement and health plans—the mainstays for aging Americans. In short, their standard of living is declining or threatened. Yet political and media elites wonder aloud in bewilderment why Americans are wrestling with economic insecurity. Most Americans get it, however. They realize their country is on the wrong track and that its government institutions and elected leaders are failing Them! I hope the Democrats pay attention!

Nope, not an elite. All is lost, Med. The world is a very negative place. People are starving in the streets as we speak. Due to lack of medical care, living wages, and free goodies at the expense of others, there is just no reason to go on. Again ... I think I'll just kill myself.

If you only knew how many borderline personality disordered assholes I've had to deal with in my career who play at suicide and self-harm, carving themselves up to one extent or another, then calling for help and passivley standing by while the rest of us scramble to save their miserable fucking lives....they're the worst! Because of course they never do it right and get off on all the drama that surrounds them...it becomes a form of "high" and they make it a lifestyle. It's really sick and I hate like hell having to play my part in it...just once I want to walk over to one of these guys and look down at him and say "bye-bye" and let em bleed out, however long it takes.

And what is corporate welfare? huge tax rebates to energy companys, huge tax breaks for Big Pharma, Sweet deals for corporations costing (us) the taxpayer, billions, allowing offshore drilling without paying the royalties, I could go on for hours, isn't that free goodies at our expense? Vi Corporations get more goodies at the expence of tax payers than the poor, those without medical coverage or those starving in the streets.

What about disease, diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure etc. These are all things that if left un-treated, will certainly cause an un-timely death. I think I've seen you post something that you have to take medication for> what if you were homeless and didn't have any medical care and you needed Medicine to live. Would you vote for national Health care? I'll bet you an 1/8 of my white widow , if you were honest, you'd vote yes. The real deal here is to walk a mile in the other guys shoes before you just close him out. For all we know, you'd be dead already if it weren't for your medicine, and as you were dying you could crawl to the front door of the hospital and beg for help, maybe they'd help you and maybe it'd be too late! Where's your christian ethics? love one another! love your neighbor as you love yourself. Help the helpless! Give unto ceasar what is ceasars and give unto God what is Gods! I believe this was Jesus's answer to the tax question!
