This goes to show you that Checks and balance of power works. This president needed a swift kick in the ass, and with Reps controlling everything, there was no one to give it to "W". Now that has changed.
The people (through electing the Dems) have finally gave it to "W", and it set him straight, You could see it on his face during his speech today (Nov 8 ).

Rumsfield is NOT gone, guyz ... well at least not gone from view. The Democrats will have him stripped naked and tried in public view for war crimes.

In fact, the Dems will spend the next two years investigating, investigating and investigating ... and never take a stand on anything. They'll be trying to please everyone in expectation of taking the presidency in '08.

Like I've said many times ... the Republicans suck ... the Dems suck even more.

I think that's what most people can agree on; both parties suck.
But who sucks more? That's a matter of opinion. I personally think Reps suck more. At least the "Neocon" Reps.

The parties themselves change all the time so my opinion is not written in stone. But yes, in the last 6 years I've grown to hate reps far more the dems, mainly for giving so much power to the evangelical movement.

I despise evangelicals. If they were all wiped out, I'd be happy to piss on their graves.

This election was a recall election on the NeoCons. Over the next two years, we will be seeing the emergence of the "new" Republican Party. And, the "new" Republican Party will actually be the "Old" Republican party of Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater. The NeoCons will be a movement of the past, trounced out of favor by both political parties. The NeoCons are nothing more than the Old Left. Move over Old Left and make room for the Old Right. And ... its about time!

My prediction? ... In two to six years, the Democrats will be out of power again with the Old Right of the Republican Party taking the country by storm. They will be touting lower taxes, less intrusive government, the abolition of the IRS and the progressive income tax, immigration reform, sealing the borders and vigilance against terrorism. The difference this next time around is that they will mean it ... and follow through on their promises.

Dream on! It'll be business as usual unless they reform "K" street (no lobbyists allowed, let them get a real job) and the electoral process, and set term limits. We need public financing of campaigns and a law to forbid outside interests of running electoral ads, No big business or unions either! The congress is the most bought and paid for bunch in the history of the country. Set term limits to 6 years period. That way a Senator would know he'd better keep his day job handy, and work on his legacy as he's only got one shot! Or is it the house that gets 6 years? either way 6 years tops. That way no real good old boys club could be formed and with freshman senators every 2 years, the place would be full of frersh Ideas! And set up a program where the President would have to go before both houses of congress at least once a month and field questions from all to justify his position on all issues, Period!
