I guess my time is up here. I want to say thank you for the fun debates and all the information that I have picked up. Both from debating my side and learning about your side of the arguments.

I have tried to always keep everything civil, but eventually relented when I was continually being called everything in the book for trying to get out the actual information instead of just the speculation that is floating around the conspiracy threads.

So in the end I did start to fire back as hard as I got. But never just doing it as a your mom way, I always tried to have a point in my posts to avoid spamming insults.

I know that at times I have gone too far, but it was not something that I had done first, it was more reactionary.

But when I have to check myself and wonder if I should respond to posts like this:

To Fdd, I understand the position that you are in. This is a hard thing to do (moderate a political thread where there are two sides that post regularly), and eventually something has to give. So I will try to make your job easier.

I will try to stick to the main forums and avoid this all together.

But in parting I would like to say that people should really try to learn things for themselves and question everything. Almost everyone that has a blog has an agenda. Many blogs and news sites now are controlled by one side or the other.

Eventually the tables will turn and you will see that the hate and misinformation will just switch sides to get the other side in power again.

Keep your cool and just try to understand life is great and the best way to enjoy it is to educate yourself the best you possibly can so that you can see there is nobody out there to get you because they are too concerned about their own welfare to want to take yours.

To Jhr, it was really good to hear your side, good luck with the school year.

TbT, I think that we had a lot of fun with the back and forth, and every though we both think the other is nuts there is some good respect there.

Hanimmal: You're the man! I've been reading and posting in these forums for years now and you're easily the most well-spoken, objective, and polite debater here. You always responded to people's posts in a thorough and kind manner and we learned a lot with your precise and methodical evidencing of all your main claims. Your kind is a rare breed these days. Keep it up - get the Ph.D. and fight for a nice job. Academia treats it's members well and provides for some of the nicest jobs out there.

To all: It's sad that all the polite people are leaving on account of the bullying and name-calling by four or five guys. It sucks to see everyone leave because of the hate, but I do understand. It's hard to put it with certain elite member's abuse all day, every day. I know of three guys who now refuse to post in this forum because of the abuse they've suffered - and that's just today. It's sad, really. I don't know why this certain elite member and the other 8,000 post member enjoy treating people like shit, but they do. Let's just hope we don't lose countless others in the coming days...
