Default Do people have the right to organize and shut down town hall discussion?
after seeing about the 100th 'code pink' lady being dragged out for the same behavior to the applause of republicans, i though we would all in agreement on the issue. apparently its ok to disrupt and sabotage the democratic process if you're a republican.

but fine, lets just pretend that foxGOPnews the healthGOPindustry is not actively marketing and banking on these disruptions through publicity and general disinformation.

lets just assume that this many stupid people can simply be set off by a moderate campaign of chain-emails, designed with the hope/assumption/certainty that the recipients are too stupid and lazy to do their own rudimentary research...lets just pretend that they are dumb enough to trust only one source of collective opinions and call them "facts"...wait...ok thats all certainly possible.

so the question:

do people have the right to organize in large groups and actively end discussions between elected representatives and citizens?

does it fall within their right to free speech or right to assemble and protest?

Funny how people forget what the Dems did... but that is ok... it sucks on both sides. It is a do as I say not as I do mentality.

But you must remember... do not infringe on others rights if you do not want them to infringe on yours.

Stupid people have the same rights as I do. By the way, it has long ago been shown that republicans have a higher mean IQ than democrats.

Its also been concluded from 16 consecutive studies at princeton university that you're full of shit and have no sources for that data.

Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Assembly,

Are you so stupid as to neglect the very fact that their right to speak is guaranteed by the Constitution, or are you just being a leftist muppet and allowing the hands of other leftist imbeciles to guide your actions, and your words, which are not the words of freedom, but of tyranny.

I guess they have a right, but what they are doing is rude. Sadly our rights allow them to do this. So do we sacrifice our rights to stop the annoyance, or just let them cry and ruin discussions?

Not sure why they can't just be patient and ask good questions.

Yeah I agree that everyone has the right to be an idiot. But at the same time they have the right to be boo'd and made fun of for their stupidity.
There are lots of times that we tried to shut down Bush and the senate hearings with stupid arguments that had nothing to do with reality.

Actually Michael Moore's sicko had a long line of dems getting the hammer for not having a senator that signed what ever it was. That is just one example.

i think there is a conflict of rights though.

my own opinion is that all citizens at a town hall meeting have the right to free speech. its pretty much the essence of free speech because you get to tell your elected officials just what you think, for better or worse. when one group of people closes down a forum, doesnt that infringe on the free speech of everyone else?
