Good for them. The group was well within their rights to protest in this way. It was an orderly, peaceful protest. The presence of weapons is not a presence of violence of violent intentions. How many police had weapons in the general area that same day? If there were any threats made by the protestors you can rest assured that the secret service would still have the citizens in custody.

Why are we all so frightened by guns. Not to long ago everyone carried a weapon of some sort, and most carried a gun. Nowadays we have murders, rapists, and pedophiles walking free while law abiding citizens dying in their own homes afraid to defend themselves.

This isn't about healthcare is it folks.

It is a good question.

I think we weren't meant to be scared of our government, but the other way around... at the same time... I think about Kent State... it would seriously divide this country. The implicit threat is a bad sign.

Its not health care per say, its everything that is happening. The citizens are tired of having their rights stripped away, tired of representatives voting the opposite of their constituents. Sometimes you just have to exercise your rights to get the message across. And that message is " We the People will no longer lay down and be used as pawns and infinitely large piggy banks for the government anymore. Government will take responsibility for its shortcomings and mistakes or the citizens will take back our government by force if need be."
