we in illinois are in a good position to sway the vote in our favor we are more than half way there to having medical mmj and we have time to send as much mail, phone calls, email anything to keep the fact that we want this fresh in the heads of the powers that be so use the advantage of time to send all the support we can to the house

After Making History in Senate, Medical marijuana Bill Poised for House Floor Vote

On May 27, the Senate passed the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act — SB 1381 — by a vote of 30-28. Within 48 hours, the bill had already soared through the House Human Services Committee and was ready for its final reading and vote on the House floor. Tax legislation, however, occupied all of the House's time in the session's final hours.
The measure could be brought to the House floor for a vote during the November veto session or when the General Assembly reconvenes in January 2010 for the second half of the current session.

illinois has one hell of a state deficit.. just sayin'.. it has a good chance of passing.

I was just speaking with some folks who are lobbying the politicians in IL and they said the House Bills will be called to the floor but it may not be until the later part of December 2009 or even January 2010. There's an opportunity in October, but it sounded unlikely.

Personally, I'm anxious to get this thing voted on. We're starting up grow9000 which will begin operation as a Medical Cannabis Organization upon the passage of the "Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act" currently being considered by the Illinois House of Representatives.
