Interestingly, there is not one mention of homosexuality in the gospel. You'd think that was all the gospel is about, considering how some Christians emphasize gay and lesbian issues. There isn't a mention of whether Jesus was straight or not. An argument against homosexuality for Christians is that the purpose of life is to reproduce, even though jesus didn't have kids.

When Jesus said "give up all your possessions," he was talking about giving them up voluntarily ... not by force at the point of government's gun. I don't think Jesus believed in legalized theft, Dank.

And, Jesus was a very practable person. If he were alive today, he'd be driving a huge 4x4 SUV, perhaps even a Hummer. After all Dank, he had twelve disciples to haul around and he spent a lot of time out in the desert.

At least I had the scriptures to back up my argument.... Homosexuality was only covered in the Old Testament, not in the New Testament. If Jesus taught anything he taught tolerance... Even though Jesus didn't say that, he DID say: " "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another" (John 13:34).

So, "loving one another" would mean give to each other in time of need on a VOLUNTARY basis. If that's not what Jesus meant, then where does he allude to FORCED charity? And by the way Dank ... socialism the way its meant in today's world means wealth redistribution by government edict. In other words, forced charity.
