I've been researching this USA PATRIOT Act and it has made me wonder why the fuck people haven't voted it out of existence. It gives "authorities" the right to wire tap and search homes without a warrant or the owners consent or knowledge. It allows them to monitor religious and political institutes WITHOUT SUSPECTING CRIMINAL ACTIVITY (meaning they are monitoring them based on the institutes beliefs). If the want records they can ask for them without a warrant. The government can monitor conversations between a lawyer and a client that is in a federal prison. With all the members on this site and many others, why isnt this Act dead?
