That's an interesting article. I enjoyed it, but fail to see the need for all these comparisons. I hear a lot of people saying, "Obama reminds me of Hitler or Benito or Chavez" and wonder what the point of such statements are. Obviously, the use of people or parties with mostly negative connotations is an attempt to carry the negativity over to the object of comparison. However, logic does not allow undistributed middles. If Obama is enacting similar policies to Hitler, then it certainly does not mean he will turn into an object of evil, as Hitler was. And it certainly does not mean he is doomed to fail. Take Hitler out of the equation in these comparisons and they lose their salience. Why is that? Hmmmmm........

The point of the comparisons is to prove the thesis, which is, that America is Headed to Socialism. Nowhere does the author indicate that Obama is evil, the article does not even compare Obama and Hitler on a personal level. As for failure, that, of course, would be subjective....but the article is not trying to prove that National Socialism, or Obama by extension, will "fail"....that should be a given
