On speed limits; Do you remember that Dickhead Carter mandating to the states the 55 mile-per-hour limit during the gas "crisis?" How rediculous can the federal government get? 55 miles per hour on California's highways? The I-5 is about 1100 miles long, going from San Diego to the Oregon border ... and then beyond. Poking along that Benzedrene of a highway at 55 mph was akin to torture meted out by Jimmy (I was attacked by a rabbit) himself. *lol*

i remember that drive. sacramento to LA. 6 of us in a pick-up with a camper shell. we probably did 50.
