Exactly! Remeber when bush said your either with "us" or against"us". He was speaking for america. I'm a canadian and this post just shows exactly what some of us are saying. Why do the"terrorists" hate america anyway? Hmmm. I didn't want to go to afganistan. I blame my own county for being there but also understand their hands are tied.

Seems about right to me. You know I was looking at the F.B.I most wanted list the other day and bin-laden isn't even wanted for the 911 attacks!!! Seems they don't even have enough evidence to say for sure that he was behind it.

I think what pisses people off is that they want the government to either stick to their word and help the people in need in the Middle East because of altruistic reasons, or quit the bullshit, and just attack them and reap the benefits or war, which we don't seem to be reaping yet.
I'm by no means politically inclined, and personally think the world would be better off if people woke up to a doobie every morning and not worry about invading other countries or having to defend from invasions, etc... If only we'd just get along... White, Black, Brown, Yellow, it's not gonna matter when the Green guys come down in their UFOs Independence Day style! hehe... j/k... but seriously, hopefully one day we will learn that the Earth is like a spaceship with limited resources floating in space, and unless we find a way to balance resources with population size, we're gonna be fighting each other and making matters worse. Detonating a Nuke in the middle east isn't good for America. Why? even though we might get oil and money which leads to more food and resources for Americans, WE ALL BREATHE THE SAME AIR, DRINK THE SAME WATER, AND SHIT THE SAME FOOD! The key is SUSTAINABILITY!!! Just like with perpetual grows, right )

What about the Roman Empire?
The Romans barely made it out of Europe...the U.S. has over 700 bases in 130 odd countries. Proportionately I'd agree the Romans fucked with alot of people in the known world though.

One thing both empires share, bread and circuses, figureatively anyway.

The only government/people i'm scared of is,ironically, the very country i live in. False flags seem to be The American Way these days. Bush.. Obama... it's all the same.

Quote:
Investigative journalist Wayne Madsen in the US claims American intelligence sent Afghan mercenaries into Iraq, in order to attack the country's civilians and military personnel.

(put this in another thread, however, felt i needed to share this again)

False. The Romans made it well into Africa and Asia. Compared to the total land that was known to exist, the Romans conquered a great portion of it. I'd say we're proportionately similar to the Romans in our global reach, considering the times. I think the parallels between the two empires are uncanny. And consider how young we are as a country. It's kinda scary.

Maybe we'll get lucky and have a Sulla and no Caesar.

Wrong era, the United States is not in the empire phase, more in the late republic phase if you are going to draw parallels.

This is an easy question to answer. Of course we were safer with Bush. What's to even think about.....?
