all of those companys are mining companys that have mining assets all over the world . anglo is a south african company.
south african gold supplys are getting low. all commoditys are getting more expensive to mine . especially gold and plat.
rio tinto is one of the other large mining companys.
you should take a look at some of china's mining operations..and they were trying to buy rio not long ago..i dont know how that deal came off though. china is looking to purchase every mining company they can get their hands on.
it is amazing to watch china develop into the worlds economic power house and america hit the skids and fall into the toilet of obscurity isnt it?

China's take over of Rio Tinto collapsed on Anti-Trust grounds in Australia, and Brazil I believe.

Actually as far as mining, no, the $120 Billion or so represented by those two companies is a drop in the bucket.
