All this week (starting June 15) Anderson Cooper will delve into medical marijuana use on his show AC360 on CNN. today he had an interview with Melissa Ethridge well known music star who has battled cancer and is a proponent for the use or medical marijuana. she states that at times she was so weak someone would have to make edibles from it and feed her. also she tells cooper that she could not imagine her struggle would have gone any better without marijuana. In another story, a woman they called "lisa" claimed to be addicted to marijuana after recieving her medical licence online. "lisa" got doctors notes for up to 12 joints aday, and she said after years of using she was addicted. maybe she was ashamed of her flamboyant use of medical marijuana with no real use for it, as "lisa" never shows her face or her real name. she tells the reporters that it was easy to aquire a licence and start right away. I think that this part gave an interesting point of view from different perspectives of our culture. Melissa ethridge an ailing cancer patient used marijuana freely to aid her battles. while "lisa" did it because she could.

its horrible how people who need this stuff are going to be ill represented by these types of reports
this is a bad situation although it probably happens quite alot
the addiction though is all mental once shes off the stuff for a little while she can learn to live without it

its interesting stuff. but i am glad that CNN is choosing to weigh the positives vs negative stereotypes. Although i am pretty sure that by the end of the week, nothing will be gained, horrible jokes will arise cuz anderson is an awkward dolt, and im sure his blog at ac360 will be full of clerical misguided poison and misunderstanding

really? that sucks. im canadian myself and as far i as know i thought CNN was the chief of news in the US. i know all news stations have their own agenda, and ive seen FOX news been torn apart. its really sad to know that almost no station will provide unbiased news, and that alot of newspapers in northamerica are facing closure. WHERE CAN WE GET NEWS FROM?

The Real News network. I catch some of the stuff they air on youtube sometimes. They're a completely private news station, funded by people all over the world, they don't answer to anyone and they don't give a fuck about ratings or partisan bullshit. They tell it how they see it.

Though, I can almost guarantee that some people from this forum will go check that station out and come back screaming about how liberal and left leaning they are just because they don't agree with what they say.

If your one of those people who hold that opinion about the station, give me specifics and tell me why.
