Exactly, Dankdude ...

But would you feel the same way if I said "why is it the government's job to dictate to anyone where and how they contribute to "charity?" Socialized medicine and welfare for example.

*lol* no BS there, Dank.

In a truely free society, shouldn't the role of government be to protect the rights of the citizens? Ahem, that would be the right to contribute to charity as one sees fit too.

If you're going to give to charity make it a creditible organisation... where most of it will go where it should. Never give to street vendors... even if they offer you the chance to win a car...

.. even if they offer you the chance to win a car...[/quote] Tell me you have a car, Everyone has a car, most people have 2 unless you live in NY city, Cars are kind of my hobby, I've had 5-8 at one time, I've weaned myself to 2. my truck and my hot rod. Living in the west US you have to have a car as public transportation is not very comprehensive. I can't even imagine not having one, Ive had one since I was 15 except for the 3 years I did in the Army!

I'm banned from driving for a while... I've been driving since 14... never had a lisence... or paid insurance... or road tax... I'm banned for what you boys would call a DUI. I was only just over the limit, just all the other stuff I was on didn't make it look good as I stumbled out of the car. I've never crashed, been crashed into... but I've never crashed. Oh, and drink driving is bad, I'd never do it again.

Default Dui

I'm not proud to say I've had a few DUIs, Years ago, as I finally saw the light and quit drinking about 20 years ago. If I had those run ins with the law in this day and age, I'd probably be doin 1-10 in upstate, without a paddle, 20 years ago it wasn't such a big thing as everyone was doin it, not everyone got caught though, seems like only me and I'm glad as it led to my giving up the booze. I'd say 10-1 booze is a worse drug than pot. Just about every fight I ever got into involved Booze. There are those that can have a glass of wine with dinner and quit, me it was either all or nothing, I never drank for the taste as some try and tell it, I drank for the Buzz, so thank "God", no mas por mi!

I've never had a DUI, but I have been making my own beer for 18 years.

I stay at home and drink.
