While I will admit to not caring enough to read that link, I will post that it's nothing new, this idea of state sovereignty. Does nobody remember the civil war?

Well Montana has passed a bill that overrides the federal gun registration laws.

No one has really challenged state sovereignty since the civil war.

What's there to discuss?

I hope Montana wins their trial case, and I hope all the other states mentioned (Texas, Alaska, Tennessee, Arizona, Idaho, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, Utah, Washington and Wyoming) pass it successfully.

What surprises me is that New Mexico and Colorado aren't on that list of states.

Though, I'll even go so far as wondering why Michigan and Ohio also aren't on the list along with a lot of other southern states.

If I'm understanding this correctly a gun made "entirely" in Montana could exempt it from Federal oversite / law... so any weed grown entirely" in a state could exempt it from Federal oversite / law too?

Yes, provided that the state is willing to stop being a little bitch and stand up to the Federal Government arguing that the Federal Government only has the right to regulate interstate commerce, and thus only regulate produce or items that actually cross state lines (regardless of the imaginary or unquantifiable effects on the markets through out the country.)

Hah, the feds will never let states get away with such minor annoyances as " Sovereignty" , hell even Other countries ( Canada ) are told what to do by our Gov't.
