Is that a fact?cotton uses the same amount of water, as a 10ft. monster bush.Well there won't be a need for cotton as much,if hemp is grown,or trees.I'm thinking the good of it ,would outway the bad.I still think there would be a water crisis.

This thread plays into the prohibition fantasy that re-legalization will suddenly increase the number of people who use cannabis. An argument which completely ignores reality: Millions of people smoke now regardless of prohibition.

The numbers will remain constant for the most part. The people who smoke currently will continue to smoke and the number those who do not smoke because it is illegal will increase the smoking rate temporarily, but their impact will be minimal.

Consider how many states are #1 or #2 in cannabis cash crop production. As a result, dire predictions of dramatically increased water consumption and pollen contamination are made moot.

Moreover, hemp is drought tolerant.

In 1916, the u.s. gov. predicted that by the 1940's we would not need to cut down ANY MORE trees to use for paper! Can you say WTF! studies released by our government report that 1 acre of hemp equals 4.1 acres of trees, now thats fucked, they dont give a shit about the environment! We dont have to use trees! Oh and hemp has a higher quality fiber than wood fiber...so yeah, its simply ridiculous at this point.
