It would surely eliminate a lot of problems on mother earth if all tie wearers were to be strangled. There may be a few exceptions, but those are few and far between.

While costs would go down, and thus prices would go down, that does not mean that prices would zero out, just as costs would not zero out. People would still expect to be compensated for their time.

Is it possible that there would be a definite deflation in the price of food and energy and other manufactured goods as a result of this energy being tapped?

That is a definitive yes.

Though if you could find something more recent, that'd be great.

They are still great finds, even if the people in them haven't thought what they are saying completely through.
yeah he was a naive genius because he trusted the wrong people.

Tesla was responsible for over 2000 patents ... and he gave all of them away. General Electric is one of the beneficiaries of Tesla's patents.

At the time, Edison was touting DC (battery) current for home energy and trying to convince the public that Tesla's AC current was unsafe for general use. Edison wanted to install local battery locations for each neighborhood which would be very expensive and inefficient. Well, Tesla won out, but Edison got the credit for what we have now.
