Default Secessionist Gov. Rick Perry asks for federal help to deal with swine flu
Republicans are the gift that keeps on giving.

Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX), who was last making headlines for suggesting that Texas may consider seceding from the Union, is requesting help from the federal government to deal with a possible swine flu pandemic:

Gov. Rick Perry today in a precautionary measure requested the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provide 37,430 courses of antiviral medications from the Strategic National Stockpile to Texas to prevent the spread of swine flu. Currently, three cases of swine flu have been confirmed in Texas.

According to a recent DailyKos/Research 2000 poll, "37% of Texans and 51% of Lone Star Republicans agree with Gov. Rick Perry’s recent suggestion that Texas may need to leave the United States. ... Imagine the outcries of patriotism (or lack thereof) if Massachusetts or New York hinted at secession during the Bush years," writes NBC's Mark Murray. And imagine how Texas would deal with the swine flu without federal assistance.

Bush is no longer in office ... so why are the lefties still bringing him up? I suspect that its a misdirection technique designed to divert attention away from what is happening right now, thanks to the Obama administration .... the greatest train robbery in history.

whats wrong in states asking for help from the federal government even if the states have declared national sovereignty? they are still a part of the United States and as such have the right to ask for federal aid in dealing with certain issues.

Nothing wrong in it at all, kronic ...

The problem is, Obama and others in the federal government look upon the states as though the states are mere counties. And when the central government starts looking at states as counties, and citizens as "customers," its very fitting for governors to start talking about secession.

Where is anywhere Bush mentioned and what does this have to do with him?

This is about the Guv of Texas and other republicans in Texas whining for the past 2 weeks about paying taxes to the Federal Govt and now they need their help. I'm starting to think God is getting off on making republicans look like dumbasses.

Let me understand this,

Because Governor Perry of Texas signed a House Resolution in Texas stating that the Federal Government was on the verge of being declared to have violated its contract with the State of Texas it makes Governor Perry the bad guy.

Because Governor Perry is standing up with the rest of Texas to protest being stripped of his rights, he is some how the bad guy.

So, is that an implicit admission that the Left, being the communists, wants to enslave everyone so a new bureaucrat bourgouise can replace the current middle class and upper class that makes their money by utilizing some kind of effort.

Liberals, pronounced ( S L A V E R S ) - a party that could best be defined as believing that it is for humanities own good to be enslaved and have the state continuously watching them.

Their typical mottos are
"Ignorance is Strength"
"Slavery is Freedom"
"Incompetence is Expertise"

Uhhhh, yeah right. This is concerning me about your comprehensive skills. Maybe you need to take a class in reading and absorbing 1A. Obama is doing things that could only be dreamed about under the Bush regime. If you can't "see" this, maybe you should go back to fool school. I'm sure you see everything you dislike, EH?
