Wouldn't it have been cheaper to just fill up their retirment accounts and force retire the older union workers then buy the company or lay off 20k people? It seems to me we are privaizing the profits while socalizing the losses. This does not seem like socalism to me more like the bastard child of socalism and fascism. Two very bad "'ism's" IMO.
