Contrary to the bush clone there was a crime committed .... Fitzgerald could get at the truth because Libby obstructed justice .... to keep the illegitimate chaney from being indicted as he should ..... that is why they put him in prison .... or at least try to ....
.... they can spin it from now on sunday that no crime was committed .... but that's only in their fantasy world....

On this evening’s “Countdown” Keith Olbermann interviewed Ambassador Joe Wilson about the President’s commutation of Scooter Libby’s prison sentence. Wilson held little back, referring to President Bush as “corrupt to the core” and describes how this national disgrace affects his wife, Valerie Plame, the victim of Libby’s crimes, and it’s implications for current and future CIA operatives. Ambassador Wilson also calls on Patrick Fitzgerald to release all information he amassed during his investigation and for Congress to open an investigation to find out what really happened.

Jonathan Turley: Cheney should have been an un-indicted, co-conspirator
The right wing apologists are out in force today, attempting to defend Scooter Libby and the President’s decision to commute his sentence. Who better to counter the lies and spin than constitutional law professor, Jonathan Turley? The apologist, R. Emmett Tyrrell, Editor In-Chief of the far-right leaning American Spectator was no match for Shuster and Turley. He not only applauds Bush’s decision to commute Scooter’s sentence, he believes he should have been given a full pardon.

David Shuster slams Bush and Tucker
David says the Judge (and the others) laid out the whole case and didn’t find the sentence harsh at all. Tucker’s been defending this felon for months. Shuster reminds him that Plame was classified and Scooter obstructed justice so that Fitzgerald could never get at the truth. His vision was blocked so to speak…

Tucker doesn’t care that Libby lied to the FBI and a grand jury…This garbage about an underlying crime is a joke and it shows what hypocrites the NRO, Fred Thompson, Mary Matalin and the rest of the crew that has been screaming for a Libby pardon by Bush. The DC beltway circuit can all breath a sigh of relief. Remember the Shiavo case? 79% of America was against Bush/Delay for interfering there and in a recent poll 72% of Americans were against a Libby pardon. You and I would never get such consideration.
Jane Hamsher: The dirty unwashed masses who populate our juries are fit to judge each other, but evidently not the ruling class. David Broder can breathe a sigh of relief that People Like Him are safe from those overly zealous US Attorneys who might want to hold them accountable to the same absurd standards that the little people must live by. How quaint.
The White House has turned off their phone lines. Evidently they don’t want to hear what you think. There will still be phones tomorrow, and I don’t imagine anyone who cared enough to drop Dubya a line is going to forget.

Breaking: Scooter Libby’s sentence commuted by Bush…
The official said Bush “has commuted the prison sentence … leaving intact the probation and fines handed down by the court.”“That means he is not going to jail,” the official said.

bush was originally elected thru a BOTCHED voting process. in my eyes he never rightfully held the position he is now in today. his whole presidency has been based on unsureness of the truth. blatantly. like he's thumbing his nose. how do we as a nation allow for this to happen?

... No one wants to be around you when you talk politics am I right?

But you are quite right .... the illegitimate bush and cheney were NEVER elected by the people.

To allow libby to walk is a slap in the face of the people and the so called law.

Everybody knows its "good to be the king" or at least a freind of the king as in libbys case, most of these politicians and their advisors are not gonna be held to the same standards as joe blow.

Sandy Berger is another one who stole Classified Documents and then destroyed them and he only got fined.

If I had done that I would be in federal prision.

Damn! This reminds me of the outrage we heard when Clinton pardoned that felon Marc Rich who owed the IRS 43 million! All of these liberal pundents went ballistic over that, right? NOT! Just more of the freakin' double standard of the Stalinist Party.

All I can say is that this takes down the credibility of a law and order presidency that this administration claims.
Vi I got pissed when Clinton handed pardons out like candy. Remember the big time Heroin Dealer he pardoned???

I've got no love for Clinton .... but his pardons weren't exclude to the elite only ....

..... both are wrong ..... ones a liar the other a war criminal.
