Default UK: Oil Prices
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/devon/7989760.stm

Quote:
There are now 10 tankers, each carrying up to 250,000 tonnes of crude oil, anchored in Lyme Bay, near Brixham.
Master Mariner Paul Wright, from the University of Plymouth, said they were waiting for world oil prices to rise.
WTF!

How can the BBC be looking at this story in a positive light?

This is so unethical.

Someone should liberate some oil.

CONTANGO

Actually, I don't see anything unethical about it.

Though I do think that the markets (esp. Oil should just be limited to market makers (suppliers, refiners, and consumers) and not speculators.

This is exactly the same thing may grampa told me about back in the day. We had the oil crisis back in the 70's like '77 I think (I was just a lil shit, anyway) Grampa ran a sevace station they told him to ration. He was like "hell no" he ran out of fuel on friday called the texaco company and said "hey, we're outta gas I'm closin' up and takin'the family to the coast." they were like "Oh, no we will get you gas don't go anywhere." We had tankers off the coast then to. Its all a big game.

Bump..... I can't believe no one else is outraged by this.

I think it was a mistake them mooring off Devon....

Cornwall and Devon are the Home of Piracy......

What would Sir Francis Drake have done?

Kissed the Queen's ass and done nothing.

I'm assuming they are British ships.

You would need John Paul Jones
