Default AIg and the band played on.
Does anyone actually believe that AIG managers deserve any Bonuses. If you are so brave as to believe this, would you please explain why?

Their bonus should be a kick to the face. I can't believe those people.

Remember when bonus meant, job well done?

I watched a news show the other day and it said that people that are in the insurance business need to be licensed... I'd revoke their licenses.. just like disbarring a corrupt lawyer... and make sure they never do that same sort of work again.... maybe a stint at McDonald's would show them the real world....

And as for contracts.... Don't they have a moral none corruption contract with their customers....... or is that really the US way as it seems to us outside the US.... "As long as monies are being made, there is NO WRONG"...

Look ... our government, the Congress and the Senate, knew about these bonuses over a year ago. They are contractual obligations. Now, I'm not saying that in light of the taxpayer funds received by AIG, that they should get the bonuses ... But here's a fact that Keith Olbermann won't tell you ... Senator Chris Dodd inserted language in the first bail-out bill (TARP), so that paying the bonuses would not be affected.

Here's the language:

The prohibition required under clause (i) shall not be construed to prohibit any bonus payment required to be paid pursuant to a written employment contract executed on or before February 11, 2009, as such valid employment contracts are determined by the Secretary or the designee of the Secretary. http://michellemalkin.com/2009/03/17...-against-them/

Chris Dodd is a Democrat crook who has recieved hundreds of thousands of dollars from AIG, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

See a democrat drafted the Language. There isn't a dimes worth of diffrence in the partys. They dominate the Debate and don't give one rats ass about people. Its all about wall street and main street could burn for all they care.

VI, how is a bonus a contractual obligation? A bonus is an atta boy for a good job.

Any person who works at any company who is going down the tubes and needs a taxpayer boost should NOT be getting a bonus. If the company is failing miserably then that is not what I consider to be a well done job.

Look ... these contracts to pay bonuses were between private companies and private individuals. It is NOT government's place to cancel private contracts ... unless its Hugo Chavez doing the cancelling. What are you guys doing ... calling for a federal dictatorship?
