Default As Leona Helmsley said ...
"Taxes are for the Little People."

First, Obama's appointee for Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner "forgets" that he had to pay taxes to the tune of $40,000.

Representative Charles B. Rangel, Democrat, chairman of the Congressional committee that writes the nation’s tax code, failed to report $75.000 in rental property income on his taxes.

Now, it comes to light that former Senator Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D., to be President Obama's secretary of health and human services has "forgotten" to pay $140,000 in income taxes.

What a bunch of arrogant bastards! No wonder the Democrats raise taxes with abandon ... they don't pay them!

Like Orwell so aptly said: "All pigs are equal, but some pigs are more equal than others.

Yes Leona, taxes are for the little people ... indeed!

Yeah, I'm sure all Republicans pay their taxes. Dig deeper, I think you'll find most of the fuckwads in Capitol Hill didn't pay their taxes, seeing as how they're all "entitled" and whatnot.

I'm kind of thinking these people are getting caught because they are under stronger scrutiny. I bet if you dug as deep on everyone on capitol hill, you'd find a financial skeleton in every cloest, probably more than one.

It still is a crock of shit, how many among us can us "I forgot, or I didn't know" as a valid excuse for tax evasion?

Get a grip, lad.

Its not about Republican vs Democrat ... its about who has control of the Federal Machine. Its about power. Its about corruption. Its about setting one's self above "The Little People." Its about "let them eat cake."

Why is Nancy Pelosi no longer talking about "The Politics of Corruption?"

now that the shoe is on the other foot, i'm sure that we still won't learn the simple lesson that no one can stand up to the closest of scrutiny. for years we have been inundated with each detail of every republican's slightest peccadillo. each time their missteps have been held out as a blanket condemnation of the conservative values that party pays lip service to and the masses have lapped it all up, consigning the entire concept of conservatism to the trash heap. i can't help but wonder how liberal philosophy will fare, now that the deck is being stacked by its new messiah and we find that these heroes of the new left are as lacking in ethics as their predecessors.

i doubt it will put much of a dent in the religious zeal with which the ignorant masses genuflect before the liberal establishment. the apologists are already out in droves, each excuse emphasized by the media and each sin downplayed as minor compared to the audacious offenses of their brethren from across the aisle. those that would dwell on these violations are branded as evil partisans, standing in the way of this new age of fairness and the supremacy of the welfare state.

i find it all a bit humorous and quite sad. our fledgling president has already made the announcement that, at the risk of being considered a counter-revolutionary, the old voices of the right must be ignored or silenced and the masses have embraced his proclamation as a papal bull. those that foretell the failure of his totalitarian creed are already being labeled as unamerican and i'm just waiting for the reemergence of the fairness doctrine or some other form censorship to put an end to the murmurings of dissent.

Let's not forget Clinton's pardon of Billiionaire Marc Rich who, by some estimates, owed over 100 million in back taxes ... and got off scott free.

Lest we forget:
