In order for it to be legal there's a whole lot of people who feel that way. We need to find a way to help them see our side. I have an idea but I don't think they'll go for it.

This bill has been in committee since April, where it will probably die.

I seriously doubt that it will ever be legalized nationally. It will end up more of a states issue. The most pot smokers could hope for is that the National (DEA) drug forces, don't interfere in states rights. In fact a disbanding of that institution should be forthcoming. Let's face it, we've lost the war on drugs and we should stop funding these rediculous foriegn and domestic drug warriors. I mean, can't everyone that wants to, find any drug they want right now, so stop with the phony drug war and let the prices adjust to the free markets. Can you say an OZ of pot @ 25.00, An OZ of coke @ 100.00, would more people try the stuff, maybe, but we'll never know until we try it. The problem is, common sense is not a quality of this government.
