Keenly, you're arguing from a faulty position. First off, a lot of our soldiers are deployed around the Globe. I don't know the exact number, but I read somewhere that we have tropps stationed in 100 - 135 nations. I don't know about the authenticity of the claim, because I haven't been able to verify it independently.

Besides, why would we want a standing army here in the United States. Standing Armies are the tools of tyrants and princes that act against the wishes of the people.
