Warren Buffet's been supporting Obama as well, and I read an article in Newsweek too, that I can't find online. I read a pretty good cross-section of news, and I haven't seen any pointed criticism of Obama's plan. Well, other than that a lot of people think GM doesn't deserve the loans they're getting, but this is about what will help the country, not what GM deserves.

Have you seen any strong criticism of Obama coming from anyone that actually understands macroeconomics through first-hand experience?

You guys will have to accept that the lifestyles you were accustomed to were non-sustainable... in fact we would need several planets to provide what you need alone pretty soon.

Well this is true of alot of countries, but I believe you guys are pretty near the top...

You see the problem with the guys controling the economy is their age... they have very little to loose on average as they are unlikely to live through the chaos that will evolve in the medium term, and even if they do, they have the capital to relocate to whereever there is food and some security left.

The only economic plan which will pull us out to previous growth is the Milton method. Obama will not try it, he will meet with much less success. I am still seeing a train wreck.......hoping it is otherwise however. (fingers crossed).

Economists generally have children or grandchildren. And they've seen a lot. You can't generalize them and say they don't care about the future.

Why, no-one to harangue? I must say, I didn't miss anyone here. Although I do enjoy "haranguing", I was so engrossed in the Vacation that I didn't have time to miss this site, well maybe a little. Seeing the turning of the leaves was a great sight for an old desert rat., visiting a few of the monuments in DC, the Smithsonian Etc, Williamsburg, Seeing Rascal Flats in Nashville, exploring the Providence area and eating east coast sea-food, yeah it kept me pretty well occupied. Tennesee is a beautiful state. There are miles of small ranches, expensive beyond belief, but beautiful. I can see why Elvis wanted to live there. Went to an Island outside providence, about 6-8 miles long and a couple a miles accross. It was ringed with multimillion dollar mansions, lots of old money in the east. I can see why they kind of think of the west as those pesky upstarts, don't We know the real USA lies east of the Mississippi. It was fascinating, there is a whole lot of country out there. The only thing I'd do different would be to take less luggage, we were changing transportation so much it was a PITA.

I really don't give a shit who anyone voted for , or if they can even think of a good reason why. I DO HOPE that all American voters on this forum will send an email to Obama , and press him to join with Barney Franks and support the decriminalization of Cannabis , AND to write your states Senators , demanding that they support both the President elect AND Mr Franks.
