Default US troops to withdraw from Iraq

Iraq and the United States have finally agreed on a security pact which would mean that US forces would withdraw from Iraq by 2011, American and Iraqi officials said yesterday. Patrick Cockburn reported in the Independent yesterday.

This is obviously a very good thing--we should never have gone there in the first place, IMHO, and the sooner we bring our troops home the better.

And which of our presidential candidates policies toward Iraq does this announcement most resemble? John "100 years if necessary" McCain or Barack "phased withdrawal over 16 months" Obama?

God it's going to be so nice having smart people running the country again.
