not yet, but if he doesn't, it will be the biggest "upset" in Presidential history. Nobody has been this ahead in the electoral voting polls and still lost a race. And don't say "well Bush was behind and he won!" I'm talking electoral votes, not popular vote, which Obama happens to be winning also. It's a good call GardenKnowm. This race is over.

Some Scottish gambling firm already paid out to those who bet on Obama and quit taking further bets on the election. That's kinda funny. THEY sure are sure he's going to win, since they paid out about $1.5 million on the bets.

Obama's playing chess, while mcCain is playing checkers. Did you hear Obama mention Russert at the Al Smith thing last night? And what was Russert's show? Meet The Press. And who's on Meet the Press on Sunday? Colin Powell. That will be a pretty big endorsement. I'm assuming he'll endorse Obama. If he was going to endorse McCain, he would have done it long ago, not wait until it's all over but the fat lady singing.

I could see giving him the Secretary of State (or Defense) job, if I was Obama. He's a conservative, but that's okay, because he's one of the intelligent ones, not a Palin or a Bush.

DUBLIN (Reuters) – Ireland's biggest bookmaker Paddy Power said Thursday it would pay out early more than 1 million euros (782,776 pounds) on bets that Barack Obama will be the next U.S. president, three weeks ahead of the election.

The Dublin-based bookmaker said it made the "unprecedented decision" to pay on bets taken so far, following Wednesday's final campaign debate between Obama and his Republican rival John McCain, which polls judged the Democrat to have won.

"We declare this race well and truly over and congratulate all those who backed Obama," Power said.
