The standards that they put in place to ensure that they would actually have their loans repaid.

The other problem we have is, like Vi said, is our fiat money supply that is constantly being inflated (and thus devalued) by the Fed.

Greed is what got us here today. How large of salary does a person really need. I mean honestly, can they not live on a pitiful 1 million per year with no bonuses?

I bet if you check out these companies that are needing this 700 billion bailout you might find that between all the high salaries and huge bonuses would probably add up to a pretty large sum.
