Not that I don't hold politicians to blame for creating this mess by threatening to sue banks and mortgage brokers for their "discriminatory" practices that included "high" loan standards.

The standards that they put in place to ensure that they would actually have their loans repaid.

The other problem we have is, like Vi said, is our fiat money supply that is constantly being inflated (and thus devalued) by the Fed.

Unfortunately, alot of people have been trained to think this way due to the media's tongue. And they will use this scare tactic with "4 more years of Bush" when talking about the election. Dumb people buy into it faster than the stock market. My poor American brethren...
