Now from what I understand, most are against the FISA bill, Patriot Act, and other laws that make invasion of your privacy legal. Now, what I do not understand is why many of you choose to give away your internet privacy by having high speed internet.. Or does no one read the privacy statements before getting service ?? Does no one understand all the rights they are giving up?

Dialup is for cavemen.....I find it hard to believe you are 100% SECURE if you use it.

But seriously, when the company is saying they'll hand over your name, address, payment info, emails, every link you've ever visited, the length of time spent at every particular web page, and any other information they have for any investigation or request from law enforcement or government- oh and they don't even have to tell you they gave you away. Seriously- does that not scare anyone? They don't even care for a subpoena to give you away, all someone has to do is ask them and they're like "oh yeah sure, would you like their address too?'.. I hate dial up sometimes- but fuck, I just can't bring myself to WILLINGLY AGREE to that..

I'm guessing no one has any real reason as to why they willingly give up all their online privacy?

Or is 'your a caveman if you don't' the only reason?

i don't want to give up security, but the internet is extremely important to me. if it's too slow, i can't get anywhere. i got RIU to chat on, myspace to talk with old friends, and We The People Radio Network to get all my news and information.

without the internet i would be stuck in a hole!


besides, fuck them if they have a problem with what i look at or say on the net. i don't care what those bastards think, they are devils to me. if they want to label me a terrorist or press charges or whatever, i don't care. Mexico is only 4 hours away.

LOL.. i hear ya dizzy, internet is important to me too- but I'm able to do all those things with dial up as well, I listen to alex jones online every day as well.. when i'm anxious to download something quick I goto pannera bread for free wifi..

I dunno.. faster internet isn't worth giving up one of my god given rights for- to each their own I suppose.

There are software and hardware you can use to protect your privacy ... just have to know how ... I hear what you are saying ... but that just the result of corporate amerika and their need to control us ... I say fuck em if they can't take a joke ...
