This charade is amusing me. We've got two candidates running for Commander-in-Chief, both of which have zero experience holding an Executive position. Both of which have proven records of voting for legislation in favor of war, funding war, curtailing our 4th Amendment rights ad nauseam.

We have one candidate that picked for VEEP a political insider and career politician that is devoutly entrenched in "The Machine" (you know...those guys we despise, right?). His son goes off to Yale, becomes a lawyer/lobbyist and is starting what I'm sure is a lucrative career within the Beltway. Meanwhile we have another candidate that has picked a VEEP that is a political outsider, a working mom with a union member husband...you know...a working man (the kind of people that the Dems profess to represent... ).

I do not recall ever witnessing such venom and hatred for a VEEP candidate since I've been actively involved in politics. A woman with more Executive experience than McCain, Obama, and Biden put together. A woman that comes from the working class. A woman who is not part of the establishment. A woman who, at worst, garners an 80% favorable rating from her constituents. What's Congress and Bush at right now? Maybe 10%?

And the best I see is the Left stating crap like..."How is she going to be VEEP and care for her children?"...Ummm....whu...Isn't it the "Left" that touts equality among the sexes? I see a circus surrounding her daughter's pregnancy....Anyone remember when Gore's kid got busted for pot? Wasn't he a VEEP...for 2 terms? Nobody said anything about that one did they?

They seem to be scared of the "little lady".

I'm just the opposite of the haters, out of McCain, Obama and Biden Palin is the only one who seems to have any bit of Integrity/principle based on what Ive heard about her so far.

And THAT is exactly why the McCain/Palin ticket has such a good chance of winning. Americans see what you see, Smirgen. And if you don't like McCain, but see the possibilities in Palin, you are in the same camp as Ann Coulter who said: "One of the best things about electing Sarah Palin is that she will be only one heart beat away."

Palin is a typical republicasn wonk. Same old republican crap that has gone before, just in a more appealing package. I have no rancor with her as an individual, she's probably a nice lady, treats her kids well and makes a nice lasagna. Just don't tout her as the cure all for McCains candidacy. McCain was looking so far behind in the polls that he had to do something desparate, and desparate this was. It will be interesting to see how this turns out, Boon or Boondoggle.

I said it the moment I learned of her, this was a brilliant move by the McCain camp. I listened to her addressing the crowd last night at the RNC, and oh my God were they lapping it up! She's good, she is VERY, very good. Watch out Obamaphytes!
